What is death diving?

Death diving, also known as "dødsing" in Norwegian, is a sport that involves participants jumping from a high platform into the water with various acrobatic positions and stunts. It is often done from a diving tower, cliff, or bridge, with the goal of creating a visually impressive and entertaining show for spectators.

The sport originated in Norway in the 1960s and has since gained popularity in other countries around the world. Participants typically wear swimwear and use proper diving techniques to execute elaborate flips and twists before entering the water.

Although death diving can be visually stunning to watch, it is also a dangerous sport that carries a high risk of injury. Participants must have strong swimming skills, be in good physical condition, and have experience with diving from high heights in order to perform safely.

Despite the risks involved, death diving has become a popular competitive sport with organized events and competitions held in various locations. The sport continues to attract thrill-seekers and daredevils looking for an adrenaline-pumping experience.
